The purpose of my role is to help design, build and test large scale systems based on an in-house Model-View-Controller pattern in such as way that E-Business and E-Commerce users can support and/or buy Home Insurance and Contents.My role specifically involves:• Developing Microsoft .NET 2.0 and 3.5 based solutions; includes web services• Leading groups in pet topics such as security and brand awareness.• Motivating and mentoring junior developers.• Planning system releases.• Monitoring the quality of software development and ensuring that work developed is of a suitable robust nature.• Working closely with onshore and offshore teams.

The purpose of my role was the technical lead for the HBOS E-Business Mortgage system as well as team lead for base support issues.My role specifically involved:• Senior developer in building an E-Business application for administrating and selling mortgages at both branch and Head Office level based on Microsoft VB6, ASP and MTS.• Team lead in base support for all non-critical system problems; managed both client and host developers, weekly meetings with business users and planning system releases.• Technical lead for new Further Advances system; managed both onshore and offshore developers and contractors.
