Contributing to the development of the cannabis industry is something I aimed wanted to do since grade school, so my career path has been a little surreal to say the least. Born in Florida, I've lived in TX, MO, MI, AZ, and UT before landing in Denver, CO after a short time budtending for Curaleaf. I moved here so that I could expand my cannabis career with Wurk - a payroll and HCM provider in the cannabis space. After some time with Wurk combined with some independent contract work, I joined the Paragon tribe where I can proudly say I am making a difference within the industry. While providing payroll services may not be the 'fun stuff' many think about when they think about cannabis, it is something I thoroughly love to do because I can see the difference it makes to the operators of the space. With Paragon I have been able to help operators get the right payroll and HR tools in place to streamline processes and remain compliant for rates that mirror what you would expect of non cannabis companies. As Strategic Partnership Manager, I seek out companies in cannabis that Paragon can partner and integrate with in order to expand our offering and offer more education and resources to the industry as a whole.I am a co-founder of the Cannabis & Psychedelics Group, a monthly happy hour networking group in Denver, and I sit as a Board Member with the National Psychedelic Club.My ultimate purpose is life is to expand public knowledge and access to the natural & psychedelic medicines on this planet. For now that means supporting and educating cannabis companies on payroll & HR so that they may keep their doors open and keep the feds at bay.
