Taking into account my experience in the industry; I particularly focus in financial lines (professional indemnity, D&O/management liability/statutory liability, cyber, design & construct risks and IT) along with complex and high hazard industrial special risks and general liability risks. I'd have to say the most rewarding project so far at HIB has been sorting out the insurance program for a large amusement park in Australia.I handle new business as well and I love helping clients and prospective clients help solve and fix their insurance issues. I also get my hands dirty with claims although our claims specialist (Simone Duncombe) has this base almost completely covered but we do catch up frequently during the day to discuss any issues. As part of the Professional Risks team, I was responsible for handling the insurances for clients requiring specific insurance in the professional risks arena (professional indemnity, IT liability, D&O etc). The team had a very large client base operating in industries such as consulting, accounting, IT, recruitment/labour hire, construction/engineering, media/publishing, advertising etc. I also managed a PI real estate scheme through Berkley as well.

I originally started in the claims team primarily handling domestic claims but began to move onto property/business claims. I was then moved to the wholesale division where I assisted three account managers who helped manage the Freeman McMurrick Club Scheme. This involved working with the account managers internally and the retail brokers on a whole of account basis for Golf, RSL, Bowling, Social & Sporting Clubs.

This was my first venture into the insurance industry. I started out in an administrative role handling the daily mail, payments, phones and slowly moved into the insurance broking team internally, learning domestic policies and also assisting with claims. By the time I had left Holder; I was managing a large 4WD motor vehicle scheme through Concord/QBE.
