I was a Senior Manager based in Bain's Sydney office. I spent my first 15 months with Bain in our London office, before transferring back to Sydney in November 2018.My projects at Bain focused on strategy development and private equity-led acquisitions. I was an advisor for early-stage startups seeking to join the global FinTech accelerator, Startupbootcamp FinTech. I ran the sales, evaluation and selection process for the 2015 cohort of startups. This involved sourcing 400+ applications, interviewing the top 80 startups and selecting the top 20 teams for our Selection Days. Of the 10 startups I sourced and we invested in, 7 are still in business and growing, 1 has exited and 2 have shut operations. Between them, they have raised more than US$100M in venture funding since our initial investment. Startupbootcamp FinTech provides funding, mentorship, office space in the heart of London and access to a global network of investors and VCs, for up to 10 selected FinTech startups.Over the 3 month accelerator program, selected startups collaborate with 200+ mentors, partners, and investors to build world class FinTech products, with the ultimate goal of becoming industry leading companies.
