This two year Young Graduate (Technical) Traineeship consisted of three assignment in different main business units of ProRail: Operations, Projects and Transportation & Timetables. Apart from improving technical skills (e.g. systems engineering, life cycle management) the traineeship focused on personal development. As part of the technical traineeship at ProRail, in my second assignment I am the leader of the cluster project 'data preparation' for the EULYNX project. For this eight month assignment I am based at DB Netz in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.The goal of the EULYNX project is to work towards a standard with other European railways with regard to railway interlocking systems.
