I compiled and produced an in-depth Business plan for the largest hostel group in Latin America to expand into education that was presented to its executives and subsequently approved, which is forecasted to increase revenue for Selina Explore by millions (£) within 5 years. Proceeding this I assisted the Global Head of Education in starting to implement this plan into reality by liaising with third parties, individual hostel managers and various departments such as Marketing, HR & Legal.

My primary role was to ensure that 18 volunteer teams had sufficient food, equipment and materials at all remote sites 24/7. This required precise organisation skills and the ability to transact in Spanish amongst locals and suppliers whilst thinking creatively to satisfy demands and handling several unreliable suppliers. I also co-project led a team of fifteen 18-25years old volunteers for a 3-week phase to construct water pipelines in rural Northern Nicaragua where water was scarce and conditions contrasted vastly to Western European luxuries that the volunteers were accustomed to. This presented challenges in maintaining volunteer motivation to continue to deliver on time, whilst ensuring appropriate welfare actions for these volunteers who were physically and mentally exhausted.

I fulfilled various roles on transformational change programmes working as a business analyst, a junior project manager and most recently as the Programme Management Office (PMO) for the East Midlands and The City of London Police forces, to implement a new Records Management System. This collaboration provided a single operational platform across the six Forces and was delivered to time and budget with the sixth force going live on the 25th October 2017. My key areas of expertise included:• Programme Governance – maintained programme documentation, best practices, tracking metrics and concise communications, reporting programme progress to all key stakeholders. • Business Process Mapping – including facilitation of workshops with the business. • Business Analysis - including business benefits evaluation and realisation.As well as working client side, I worked on numerous internal projects and project-led the successful implementation of Caja’s new operational systems and knowledge repository.

This role quickly gave me a wide spectrum of experience from working client side on projects to being seconded into the head office to help transform the organisation’s operational management systems: Client Side Programme / Project Support –- Member of Programme team that set-up & migrated central Government agencies into the 1st UK Shared Services Centre (ISSC1)- PMO for a Current State Analysis of a large organisation within the construction sector- Key Skills included; Stakeholder engagement and management, Process Mapping, analytical skills, Presentations, Output collation and report writing, Excel Analysis Operations Management role (Secondment) - Responsible for managing all day-to-day Invoices, Timesheets & Expenses from project members and subsequently ensuring that all clients have been charged appropriately - Led transformation of operational systems by identifying key user requirements, planning & implementing new accountancy and time-management systems (Xero & WorkflowMax) - Coached employees & associates in using new systems by producing interactive videos Bid Team Lead – - Responsible for preparing and collating PQQ & IQQ’s to help win new business

This internship at a wealth management organisation developed the following skills:· The ability to cold-call prospective clients and convince them of the merits of talking to a financialconsultant as an expatriate working within China.· The skill of analysing client’s funds and presenting how they are performing in a simplified manner· In constant contact with Hedge Fund managers around the world to ensure the company does notmiss out on the latest financial products that can be offered for clients.· The ability to network wherever I go to see if prospective clients would be interested in this service.

This project involved completing a feasibility plan about the formation of a new promotions’organisation (jointly owned by the two organisations above). This required the following responsibilities:· Researched and produced an in-depth Business feasibility report· Visited numerous factories and trade fairs within Eastern China to network and evaluate competition.· Completed web content for proposed new website and researched possible website developers,· Conducted market research through the development of rigorous questionnaires to garner theappropriate level of interest within this potential new business.

During this internship, I was part of the research team responsible for seeking tender opportunities to find the organisation a competitive time advantage over rivals. This developed the following skills:· Problem-solving skills were essential, because I had to think creatively about which external sources to utilise, such as newspaper journalists or local councils. This enabled me to gather insights about proposed new construction sites, where Broxap’s products or services may be in demand. · As part of a team, it was also my responsibility to ensure total synchronisation, by utilising Microsoft Outlook to update the team regarding the latest developments about the business.· I also shadowed the team manager to observe their problem-solving skills in pressurised situations to meet their deadlines and how they strived for continuous improvement within their department.

This 12 month placement gave a wide spectrum of challenges, which necessitated that I quickly adapted and integrated into a new culture with significant responsibility. Examples of this included dealing with injuries, bullying or even homesickness appropriately. My responsibilities and following skills were also developed:· I learnt to communicate appropriately to various people such as pupils, colleagues and parents and was responsible for ensuring students were evacuated safely at night, in case of emergencies.· I was entrusted with devising my own lessons that were appealing and in line with the nationalcurriculum. Thus, the ability to innovate and motivate students was essential to keep them engaged.· I helped run a weekly newsletter that informed parents of upcoming events and aided the organisation of the inter-school swimming gala in Auckland for Under 13’s.
