I am a new media developer and co-owner of frismedia. Frismedia is a new media studio where technique and design complement and reinforce each other.Working in a field that is constantly changing, requires a keen eye for new developments. During my studies, I came into contact with the precursor of flash (futures splash animator) and I got my degree with experimental flash-in-director integration in 1998. In 2000 I founded frismedia with Donald Harting (new media designer). We developed our first websites in ASP with Macromedia Dreamweaver. Macromedia was then a pioneer in accessible website development. Due to the growth and rapid developments in PHP we have shifted our knowledge to PHP since 2006. We started developing with Zend Framework and now we head towards Laravel. Already in the Symbian era (2005), we saw the potential of mobile and we haveexperimented with flash lite, but it was clear that it had no future so our next mobile projects came after the release of IOS and Android. Alongside native mobile development we started developing cross platform development with PhoneGap / Cordova since 2011 and we now use Ionic.In the future internet and it’s possibilities will play an even bigger role in our lives. I am sure that frismedia will play a role in shaping this future.
