• Develop a novel method for producing synthetic rutile from ilmenite for use in fluidized bed processes associated with the Kroll process for synthesizing titanium.• Utilize the ARH process to take titanium ore in the form of ilmenite and produce low-cost titanium dioxide powder. • Utilize the HAMR process to produce low-cost, low-energy titanium and titanium alloy powders from a titanium dioxide starting material.• Run characterization equipment such as SEM, XRD, TGA, EDS, etc in order to characterize powdered and solid samples.
