I took 12 month break from the tech world to renovate and refurbish a property I recently purchased. It was refreshing to flex my practical skills and apply problem solving in a totally different environment.

Following the sale of Pets Reunited, I was offered the role of Chief Technology Officer of the group that acquired it.Alongside taking over the technical operations of the existing businesses in the group, I ran the technical due diligence prior to numerous further company aquisitions. I had the responsibility of undertaking rapid, deep-dive operational understanding and taking over full system operation, to ensure seamless operational transistion with zero (or minimal) downtime. Working for a company in scale-up mode, my roles extended beyond traditional CTO duties. From rapid prototyping of web apps to providing solutions to the Customer Support and Marketing teams - no two weeks were the same!
