Mr. Castaldo’s career spans over thirty years in consumer products and service businesses with a focus on the food and beverage industry. He has held executive positions in public and private companies, multi-nationals and start-ups.He is a member of the Board of Directors of Celsius Holdings Inc.- CELH on the NASDAQ- a "functional beverage" company. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Original Frank Pepe Pizzeria, an iconic multi-unit restaurant concept established in 1925, and an Equity Partner of Lime Fresh Mexican Grill, a South Florida-based fast casual restaurant concept.He was an Equity Partner and member of the founding management team of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, a casual dining restaurant concept, and served as President, Senior VP/CMO, and Board Member for 12 years. The company grew from 1 to 60 locations in 6 states during his tenure. Castaldo served for 8 years as President of Pollo Tropical, a Miami-based quick casual restaurant chain. He led a successful turnaround of the company, and, under his leadership, Pollo Tropical doubled in sales and cash flow and ranked as the #1 concept in average store sales and profit in its market segment. Prior to joining Pollo Tropical, he held executive positions at several industry-leading corporations. He was V.P. of Marketing of Denny’s, Inc., America’s largest family restaurant chain. He was Sr. V.P. of Marketing at Bennigan’s/ Steak and Ale restaurants; V.P. of Marketing for Citicorp Savings of Florida; and V.P. of Advertising and Promotion for Burger King Corporation. He has held management positions at Clairol and Federated Department Stores.He is an Adjunct Professor at the Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University teaching Marketing and Entrepreneurship and a member of the Marketing Advisory Board. As founder of Nicholas Advisory Corporation, he consults on Brand Strategy, Marketing, and Business Development.He graduated summa cum laude from St. John’s University and earned his MBA from Harvard University. Heis a Member of the Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of South Florida.
