I am a proven Merchandise General Manager, with international experience in supermarkets and department stores in Australia, the UK and Hong Kong.I thrive in developing customer centric category growth strategies, delivering sales, profit and market share growth and have operated as the Managing Director of a wholly owned merchandise sourcing subsidiary in Asia. Leading a sourcing business in Hong Kong was a transformative experience in my development a senior leader. As well as having end to end P&L accountability for a new business, this role broadened my established product development and buying experience into leading functions including Supply Chain, HR, Quality and Ethical Trading, whilst ensuring corporate governance within both UK and Hong Kong legal and financial systems.This experience developed in me the ability to lead a new and culturally diverse team to thrive and as a leader strengthened my belief that fostering an environment of integrity, respect and team spirit creates collaborative, high performing teams. I also have an innate love of solving complex problems, an energy to deliver results and coach individuals to reach their potential.Being part of the Target turnaround journey as the Hardgoods GM gave me the opportunity, as part of the leadership team, to have a material impact on the strategic direction and financial results of this iconic Australian brand.
