Work Experience: Leading a small team of Android software engineers for a large bank. Using MVI architecture made it relatively easy to achieve 95% unit test coverage! I used coroutines and LiveData to make and coordinate multiple API calls and animation I successfully wrote UI tests using Espresso and custom matchers where necessary As tech lead I ran Agile standup and retrospectives I also took initiative to ask clarifying questions of product management when I suspected there was ambiguity for any of the tickets that team members were assigned When team members stumbled or lagged behind, I stepped in to unblock them while getting my own work finished on time

As the only software engineer, I guided product management through taking broad goals and turning them into prioritized actionable tasks that I could start chipping away at I interviewed and recommended for hire a fresh graduate who turned out to be phenomenal Together, we turned these goals into launched industrial machines based on Android and control boards. We created our own software update mechanism in place of the Play Store (signed system app) I devised simple ways to report fleet online status, consumption reporting, remote troubleshooting and error reporting. Later, as Lead I defined software documentation visualized with illustrations and videos depicting machine sequences I helped define and document processes and standards based on my extensive software engineering experience I bootstrapped the devops tools to support CI, automated testing, and bug tracking. I architected, designed, implemented and deployed to the App Store an Android app for sending pictures and videos from a smart phone to our Android based device. This was done via WiFi based transport direct to the receiver tablet via an adhoc network. I selected, oversaw and later maintained a 3rd party creating an iOS implementation of the same. This later app was based on React Native

Developed Android based hand held automotive battery test and diagnostic equipment for dealerships and auto parts retailers I was instrumental in taking a proof of concept project and filling in feature gaps to launch a products As a team we found ways to modularize and reuse code from multiple projects using a core gradle module and git subtrees I lead a small team of contractors and also implemented the software. I introduced Agile development practices to the team and used them to track progress and estimate delivery dates.I bootstrapped and maintained instrumented UI tests and continuous integration As required I did technical decision analysis of tools and processes. I presented my findings to the group so that we could make informed decisions as a team.
