From an early age, I had an enterprising spirit. In school, I earned income by cutting neighbours’ grass and washing cars. At 13, I began fixing computers, eventually building a customer base that allowed me to employ others. In 2009, at 19, I left university after my first year to establish PCR, my first company. The journey taught me invaluable lessons in building a business, growing a team, and serving a demanding customer base. By 2011, I shifted our focus from B2C to B2B, transitioning PCR into an IT Managed Service Provider. In 2014, I partnered with a local telecoms provider, creating synergies with our shared customer base. A year later, we launched Bizanywhere, a bundled subscription service aimed at simplifying technology for SMEs. It addressed a market need for accessible, up-to-date tech solutions that boosted team productivity and empowered the “work from anywhere” culture - a foresight that proved essential during the 2020 pandemic. In 2018, I sold PCR and joined a national IT provider, where I spent the next five years in various roles, gaining deeper insights into the industry.I am driven by outcomes and thrive in environments where I can bridge business and technical teams. I enjoy transforming ideas into actionable projects, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders. I take pride in delivering results and fostering collaboration.Key Facts• Started running an IT repair business at the age of 13• Formed a limited company and signed the lease of our two storey office premises at 19• Opened a Managed IT Services division that same year• Opened a second repair centre at the age of 21• Sold a business at the age of 22, partnered age 24, acquired another company age 26 and sold out age 29• Youngest Board Director at 19 – East Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce• Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 – Finalist, Scottish Business Awards• PSYBT Regional Award Winner and National Award Finalist 2011
