Managing High Viz Media limited, a specialist film and video production company based in Redhill, Surrey. High Viz Media has a vibrant client base, including Emergency Services and Train Operating Companies. High Viz has established a respected reputation in providing live event production filming, notably providing services to an established events production company for numerous car launches. I have personally built High Viz Media from my love of film making, now with a small team and an excellent portfolio of camera and live production equipment we are able to compete against major video suppliers due to our can do attitude and client understanding.Responsible for:-Day to day operation of the business.-Brand awareness and development.-Exploration of new techniques and camera equipment.-Expansion of and building upon existing client relationships and retention.-Production management and overview of crew and resources.-Production planning and health and safety compliance.-Fulfilling obligations to clients in a timely manner and resolving any queries. This role requires me to undertake engineering activities on the train from routine maintenance through to technical fault finding. I have previously held the role ofDeputy Team Leader, covering for the shift controller in their absence. I have since become a St Pancras Technician, a first line of response for line of route failures and their management. It is in part due to this role that I have developeda huge appreciation of the demands placed upon Eurostar during operational incidents.

Supporting the shift delivery manager in ensuring that trains are presented on time for service from the depot.Managing a team of 8 multi skilled technicians and deploying them on tasks from routine to complex maintenance activities as dictated by a service plan.Responding to incidents and reporting faults or failures that may affect the service.Engaging with teams to ensure that competencies and training are provided. Ensuring a safe environment, taking proactive measures to ensure that risks are swiftly identified and resolved.Developing processes to improve the workplace for the engineers.Acting as a go between for the voice of the shop floor and senior managers. Being able to articulate concerns without fear and discuss and explore options for the shop floor engineers before an issue may escalate.Proactively ensure stock availability, see that part shortages are identified and reported in morning meetings and follow up to ensure they are actioned.Harness lean sigma and kaizen techniques to improve work ethos and lower down time.
