Our mission was to engage the community to sponsor music production and performance as a way to drive revenue for the business community. It turns out, it works if you have the right partners.Audio Park collaborated with the city of Lowell, the University of Massachusetts, and local business owners to produce dozens of records, marketing campaigns, and live events including contributions to the Lowell Folk Fest and annual Winterfest. Everyone made money, including us - but we wanted to give it all back to the community that supported us in the first place.So we did. We donated thousands of dollars in scholarships for Lowell High seniors to attend college. We showed that if you put money in the hands of artists, your community comes alive.We were scrappy and not graceful, but I learned how what it takes to get work done. In 2009 Audio Park Productions received the Creative Economy Award form the city of Lowell in recognition of our hard work.
