I am a proven, passionate, investment professional with a reputation for delivering successful outcomes with an analytical and co-operative approach. I am a Theoretical Astrophysicist turned project finance modeller, then banker, then modelling business owner / entrepreneur. Now with 25+ years of this very specific experience I am now investing in and developing renewable energy, transition fuels and sustainable infrastructure projects.I have a passion for working within and building high-performance teams. My approach is that of a trusted advisor, analytical, open and co-operative. Since 1995 I have delivered solutions to hundreds of challenging projects around the world and am typically tasked with strategically and commercially critical situations necessitating a rapid and deep understanding of a situation including stakeholder engagement; often where others have not succeeded. The formative part of my career was spent in investment banking and consulting which forged the acumen and work ethic needed to drive efficient processes and successful outcomes. As part of this I founded, co-developed and exited what at the time was one of the world’s most respected independent financial modelling consultancies. Now in the third chapter of my career I am proud to be making a positive impact on the world’s climate change mission with an amazing team at Sub3Degrees.Outside of my daily project focus I am a highly motivated trainer, having trained thousands of people over the 25 years in project finance focused financial modelling, from graduates through to highly experienced analysts wanting to improve or learn coding to optimise debt. As part of this I continue to enjoy working with Australia’s leading banks and advisory firms.I have a deep and thorough working knowledge of investment metrics, analytical frameworks, financial modelling, programmatic thinking and do not allow myself to be restricted to ‘the way it’s always been done’.
