Driven, Goal Oriented, and Resilient. "the only limits you have are the ones you set on yourself" At the age of 3, my parents and I immigrated to the United States from Colombia. I was taught early on to value my education and the opportunities that I had in this country to live a better life. Growing up as an immigrant, I quickly realized I had a different perspective from many of my peers as I was always look to make the most of any opportunity that was put in front of me. In 2021, I became the first person in my family to graduate from college in the United States. I began wrestling when I was in 5th grade and continued all throughout high school and college. Through wrestling I developed a work ethic that helped me excel in all areas of life, including my academics. Wrestling also helped me develop mental toughness. Often times, when I find myself in a difficult situation, I reflect back on times that I have overcome adversity in my wrestling career and I realize I can overcome it.
