Nick DiCosola is the Principal and founder of the namesake DiCosola brand.Within the broader organization, Nick is the President and owner of DiCosola Construction Management. He leads the team to provide expert guidance to clients on projects nationwide, including serving as owners’ representative for ground-up condominium development projects and managing construction for clients in the multi-family, pharmaceutical, and retail real estate industries. Nick is also the President of DiCosola Development, LLC, where he and his team identify and evaluate properties for investment and development.Nick’s interest in real estate development stems from childhood, growing up in a construction family. In college, he pursued his passion for Science, achieving his undergraduate degree from Culver-Stockton College and masters degree from Austin Peay State University in that field of study. Nick applied his advanced level deductive reasoning skills to the field of construction with the creation of his first company, D.T. Construction Management, in 1999. There he provided general contracting and project management services to clients throughout Chicagoland for several years before launching Distinguished Dwellings, Ltd. For 15 years through Distinguished Dwellings, Nick offered ground-up custom home development and construction services, which quickly evolved to encompass multi-family developments, commercial property buildouts, and bank REO redevelopment and repositioning (totaling over $250M in value). Recognizing the need for third party general contracting services within the industry, he created an additional business entity, DiCosola Group, LLC, to complete dozens of design-build and design-bid-build projects. With a reputation for excellence and efficiency, for over a decade DiCosola Group delivered custom residential construction projects, ground up and adaptive re-use projects in the commercial and multi-family sectors, and completion and turn-around of failed projects.An accomplished investor and developer, over the past twenty years Nick has acquired and improved single family homes, multi-family properties, and development land to create mixed-use and multi-family developments.As a contractor, developer and investor, Nick’s visionary leadership and deep understanding of the drivers for real estate success have equipped clients and partners with the knowledge they need to make the right real estate investment decisions.
