President and founder of Soundview Real Estate Partners, a real estate private equity firm established in 2003 to pursue a value-oriented investment strategy. Since its founding, Soundview has invested in over 150 transactions and has deployed in excess of $700 million in equity on behalf of its investor group. Soundview’s investment portfolio includes a broad range of asset classes with a concentration in hotels, multi-family, industrial warehouse, residential land and non-performing and sub-performing loans collateralized by real estate. Has over 25 years of real estate experience with all asset classes including office, retail, hotel, multi-family, residential land and real estate-oriented operating companies.Prior to founding Soundview, served as Managing Director and head of real estate acquisitions at the Steinhardt Group, a private equity firm focused on real estate debt and equity investments (1996 – 2003) and as vice president at Nomura Asset Capital Corporation and was responsible for the strategic management of a $750 million diversified portfolio of real estate equity and participating debt holdings (1995 – 1996) and as an acquisitions associate for the J.E. Robert Companies (1993 – 1995).Holds a BS in Economics from Miami University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance & Real Estate from Ohio State University, was a Weidler Scholar (Top 10% of graduating class). On the Advisory Board for The Ohio State University Center for Real Estate and is a frequent guest lecturer at Ohio State University Finance and Real Estate courses.
