In this role I am leading the GDPR programme to enable British Land compliance by the 25 May 2018. Workshops were held to inform the business and drive the discovery of data locations. In this the marketing database of over 1 million consumers had to be assessed for legality and a re-engagement campaign carried out. HR systems have been upgraded and data retention schedules set for all physical and virtual data. The whole business was assessed for the legal basis of collection and processing of personal data. All websites have been assessed and updated with cookie and privacy notices. A training program was designed and implemented across the business.
