Having got into digital in the early days I've developed a rare combination of breadth and depth of knowledge and experience. I'm still just as engaged and excited to learn new things and share what I know. My focus is on the customer experience as a means to commercial success.My academic background of two degrees in psychology and an MBA provide me with good foundations on which to develop practical experience. I've worked both in big corporate and small agency, adapting equally well to each.I have experience of B2C/B2B e-commerce global environments as well as far more localised small businesses. I've worked in digital transformation as well as digital as business as usual. At British Airways I have managed teams up to 20 and controlled a budget of £800k while the digital business grew to over £3bn p/a. At Daydot I'm just as comfortable working as a one-man band.I'm equally happy doing hands-on research or coaching and directing others. I've had great feedback as a people manager, but even if I don't have direct reports I can still help others and be a leader.I've always looked to combine disciplines rather than getting stuck in channels. Effective customer experiences are found at the conjunction of research-driven design, analytics, pragmatic technology, and clear business goals. I have had great pleasure in working with and learning from some fantastic people over the years. I get a kick out of working with a great team - particularly when I've been instrumental in developing that team. Yet if I need to get my head down and beaver away on a solo project, I'll do that.Above all I have a growth mindset and am always curious and driven to keep learning and developing, and helping others.
