With a solid academic foundation encompassing a 2.1 BSc (Hons) in Chemistry followed by an MSc, where I specialised in Nanotechnology under the guidance of Dr Chandrashekhar Kulkarni and Dr Matt Baker, I embarked on a journey that seamlessly blended academia and industry.My passion for education led me to a role at UCLan where I engaged in lecturing and laboratory demonstrations, particularly focusing on Mathematics and Biochemistry for Foundation Applied Science Students. This tenure honed my communication skills and deepened my understanding of interdisciplinary approaches in science education.Eager to contribute meaningfully to addressing global challenges, I pursued a PhD at the University of Exeter in collaboration with Syngenta, focusing on enhancing agrochemistry to bolster food security. My research culminated in significant publications, including "Advances in Analytical Capability to Power Agrochemical Product Design" in "Outlooks on Pest Management".Transitioning from academia to industry, I joined Notch Communications, a Manchester-based SciTech marketing agency. Here, I remained abreast of cutting-edge developments in life sciences and pharmaceuticals, crafting compelling content for esteemed publications and spearheading the strategy and development of The Scientific Podcasting Network.In 2022, I delved into Bid Management and Business Development with NorthWest EHealth, however, my passion for scientific marketing remained paramount. This led me to embark on a freelance journey, where I lend my expertise to scientific marketing agencies while founding Acorn Scientific Marketing in January 2023.Acorn Scientific Marketing, which won the Rising Star Award at the UK StartUp Awards, is driven by a mission to provide invaluable commercial support to burgeoning start-ups and scientific spinouts, leveraging my diverse skill set and deep-rooted passion for bridging the gap between science and business.I am committed to fostering innovation, driving impactful change, and empowering scientific ventures to thrive in the dynamic landscape of today's market.
