Replify can be deployed in either a "Site to Site" configuration or a "Client to Site" configuration. In a "Site to Site" configuration, we will position a Virtual Accelerator on each site - in the datacenter (near the application resources) and on-premise (near the users or other application servers). Network traffic routed between the networks via the VA's will be optimised using compression, protocol optimisation and Intelligent Cache Engine (ICE) technology which is a bi-directional network caching software module which allows both ends of the WAN to ‘learn’ the data payload as it flows between the client and the accelerated servers. In a "Client to Site" configuration, each client will utilise a locally installed application (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android) to turn the local device into it's own WAN Accelerator. The client will connect to the remote Virtual Appliance and any network traffic to or from resources defined by the VA will be optimised.Typically when accessing application such as Sharepoint, File Shares, Exchange or SQL Databases, we would expect to see a 90% reduction of WAN utilisation and a x20 performance increase.
