Full operational management of the Master Vendor Agreement for Alstom for the delivery of all UK contract recruitment. Currently support 38 different hiring departments across 29 depots throughout the UK, supply of technical engineering personnel within Rolling Stock.

I was responsible for the management of all financial and commercial activities for the company group including the direct management of 9 staff across the finance department. Due to my background with Orion and previous sales experience, I continued to have significant input and daily interaction with consultants and managers regarding sales on both an operational and strategic level.Key Achievements: •Introduced accurate business forecasts linked to daily cash flow management which resulted in stabilising the financial position.•Implemented credit checking and credit control procedures resulting in average debtor days reducing from 65 to 45.•Revised business terms to ensure compliance with UK legislation and limit exposure in respect of commercial liability.Key Responsibilities:•Staff management, 9 staff across departments of credit control, payroll, management accounting, IT and management interaction with 65 staff in total.•Sales, support and guidance to sales consultants and managers.•HR manager, including management of all staff non-performance and disciplinary action.•Financial management including P&L, forecasting, budgetary, cost control and cash flow.•Negotiation and management of business banking and funding (Invoice Discount).•Credit management with responsibility for deciding on trading levels and terms.•Terms of business review with responsibility for agreeing all non-standard terms of supply.•Compliance to all legislation both generic and recruitment industry specific including, Employment Business regulations, Managed Service Company and Construction Industry Scheme.•Review and management of business insurance cover required for both standard and non-standard supply to cross section of technical disciplines and sectors.•Review and management of company auditors in line with year end accounts and general company administration (including insolvency practitioner).

I had operational responsibility for the Reading Branch incorporating 20 staff trading across the divisions of engineering, electronics, and construction supplying contract and permanent personnel. Achieved sustained growth year on year resulting in record annualised figures of £8 million turnover and £500k net profit. Key responsibilities included sales recruitment and training, key account visits, budgeting and P&L management.

Managed an initial team of 3 consultants expanding to 6 operating within the Thames Valley location covering the supply of technical personnel both contract and permanent. Achieved 200% growth in contract numbers peaking at 150, supplied on both a contingency and sole supply basis.

Recruited to manage and develop consultants running 300 contractors within the technical markets of rail (rolling stock & trackside), building services, construction, MOD, aerospace & mechanical engineering. Role involved client site visits, day to day coaching of consultants, setting and managing of activity based targets. Personally delivered contract with Alstom Rail to supply train maintenance staff on a 2 shift 7 day rota basis and developed dexterity selection tests.

Joined the company as a Resourcer, within 12 months was promoted to Resourcing Manager of the engineering and manufacturing division leading a team of 3 resourcers selecting candidates for a cross section of industries and roles. When I joined the company the division was pay rolling 50 contractors and at its peak took the division to in excess of 150. Key clients recruited for included London Underground, Ultra Electronics, Computacenter and Matra Marconi Space Systems.

Start-up situation within the Industrial market place, I was solely responsible for bringing in all new business resulting in a profit been generated after 3 months of trading. On month 4 achieved record week of 150 temps working resulting in gross Margin of £7.5k. Key new business clients included New Convent Garden Soup Ltd and Unigate Dairy Ltd.
