Essentials First (formerly Kits4Peace) is a non-profit that aims to raise awareness of homelessness while bringing together the community to participate in tangible activities. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, 1 in 7 households in the state of WA are significantly behind in rent and struggling for food and basic everyday essentials. Unlike supplemental food support that is offered throughout our communities (such as food stamps), there are no government programs that provide affordable personal and household hygiene products to those who are food insecure.Food banks are inundated with requests for affordable hygiene products but they do not have the capacity to add the sourcing of these products to their workload. Currently, less than 5% of hygiene products are provided through food banks and other community efforts. Also, there is no statewide or national organization set up to consistently provide this support. As a result, two million residents in WA State do not have access to affordable hygiene products.Essentials First has stepped up to fill this gap. We are growing our mission, beginning in WA State, to ensure the dignity and respect that comes with the ability to have clean kitchens, clothing, and bodies is afforded to all.

MCRC provides social and humanitarian services in the Greater Seattle area through community engagement and partnership with other faith-based organizations, non-profit organizations, and civic services. MCRC focusses on addressing issues of hunger, homelessness, and refugee assimilation through a comprehensive interconnected set of humanitarian services. As Founder & CEO, I developed the organizational vision, garnered community support and moves this organization from concept to reality in 2010. Today the organization touches the lives of over 5000 individuals and families each year. Through collaborative partnerships and bridges that I have been able to build with other non-profit organizations and with different communities, MCRC is now platform that brings over 300 volunteers to serve humanity in the Greater Seattle area I was able to grow funding sources by over 300% in the last 5 years and rationalized the operating model to accommodate the rapid growth of the organization that now has an annual operating budget of close to $1M.

• Initiative to bring women from different ethnicities and backgrounds to share stories as a way to build bonds of friendship and community • Led the project to publish two cook books “The World in my Kitchen” sponsored by the City of Bellevue as part of the Cultural Conversations initiative. • As a certified mediator for the city of Bellevue, WA I am responsible for mediating neighborhood disputes and concerns. Listening to both parties, negotiating and brokering win-win solutions is part of my job as a mediator.

• Responsible for operations and marketing for this project management services consulting and training organization • Created and implemented an affiliate program to enable worldwide service delivery. • Planned and implemented the first set of public training classes in the U.S. and in India.

• Responsible for providing investment portfolio services for Voyager and Flagship clients with net worth of over $1M for one of leading US mutual fund companies. • Integrated client data into central database that provided consolidated view across multiple data sites by executing SQL scripts to merge and import data. • Generated problem reports and assisted in trouble shooting data integrity issues.
