About Nick Herd

Hi, delighted to meet you - I’m a Brandologist. Here to empower you and your brand to communicate effectively with your target audience. If this sounds interesting click see more or contact me via: www.moodesignagency.co.ukIn a world where mere logos are often passed off as ‘branding’ I’ve devoted myself to mastering the art of creating brands that leave a lasting impression.Since childhood, my passion for drawing, collecting branded items and communicating ideas through creativity has been my driving force to get where I am today.Over time, I honed my skills, focusing on the relationship between form and function, designing brands that weren’t just beautiful, but presented a powerful and lasting impression.Because when visual appeal meets marketing savvy - that’s where a brand is born. So, I founded Moo Design, catering to industries such as construction, property development, engineering, road, rail, and events. Collaborating closely with CEOs and marketing/commercial directors, I've forged robust brands that drive business growth and profitability.Yet, versatility is my forte. Whether it's rejuvenating a lacklustre corporate identity, revamping outdated marketing materials, enhancing digital presence, or creating impactful exhibition and promotional products, I thrive on exceeding expectations. And more recently I launched Brand Boxes, where I redefine brand packaging, creating bespoke boxes that encapsulate your brand essence and elevate your customer experience. Sourcing, creating and delivering luxury packaging solutions that help your brand break through the day-to-day challenges your company faces.Based in Leamington Spa, I love to travel, meet new people, have a conversation and am always curious to solve problems where I can, so let’s connect and grab a coffee!Beyond my professional pursuits, I find joy in keeping fit playing Vets hockey, padel and real tennis, cycling, as well as indulging in fine art, skiing, salmon fishing, and exploring diverse cultures worldwide. I’m actively involved in community endeavours, and have combined my love of sport, business and community spirit by being an integral part of: Warwick Hockey Club (Former President and Chairman, now in Vice Presidents Club), Leamington Round Table (Life Long Honorary Member and former Chairman/President), and Leamington 41 Club through which I proactively build links with local businesses, raise crucial funds for community, charitable causes and increase awareness. Also a Guinness World Record Holder of 'The Most Players In A Hockey Exhibition Match is 367’.

  • Art4Charity
    Art4Charity Co-Founder & Brandologist
    Art4Charity Apr 2020 - Present
    Birmingham, England, United Kingdom
As a co-founder of Art4Charity, I spearheaded the branding and strategic direction of 'Forward in Unity,' a groundbreaking community initiative launched in April 2020 and ongoing. At its heart is a monumental artwork spanning 20m x 10m, masterfully crafted by the world No.3 graffiti artist, Gent48, celebrating Birmingham's NHS and frontline heroes in their battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.Drawing upon my expertise at Moo Design, I infused the project with vitality and creativity, orchestrating the development and monetisation of limited edition prints in various sizes. Notably, these prints were personally signed by 250 distinguished figures from Birmingham, including the late Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Mohammed Azim, as well as prominent national figures such as the Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP and Sir Keir Starmer KCB QC MB.In addition to these collectible prints, we curated two meticulously crafted limited edition hardcover books. The first edition, launched in December 2020, captured the essence of 'Forward in Unity,' while the second edition, updated in June 2021, featured heartfelt introductions from the Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP and Sir Keir Starmer KCB QC MB.Each element of this project was meticulously designed to spread goodwill and raise vital funds for the Lord Mayor of Birmingham's designated charity beneficiaries: SIFA Fireside, Acorns Children's Hospice, and Birmingham St Mary's Hospice, thus positively impacting countless lives across the UK's second city.
