As a solution architect in an agile environment I was responsible for introducing a disciplined architecture approach to several ongoing initiatives, with a mix of focus across business, application and technology domains.This role had a strong focus on working with product vendors and implementation partners, with responsibility for ensuring the correct fit of third party products into the Trustpower environment.Initiatives that I have been involved with include;• Solution architecture and design for AMI and SCADA time series data as part of the the Meter Data Management and Environmental Consents Management capabilities• Solution proposal for a consolidated telecommunications OSS solution• Integration architecture and design for a replacement financial accounting package • Technology architecture and design for the introduction of a new document management system for the Trustpower Generation division• Consulting on a range of Trustpower digital initiatives, including marketing automation, customer outage management, learning management, and recruitment.

As a solution architect I was responsible the application and deployment architecture for two large migration projects following the IAG acquisitions of Lumley and AMI, then following up the design by leading the distributed delivery teams through to successful implementation.Working as part of a larger data center consolidation project my role involved leading the application migration of all core Lumley systems into IAG. The migration involved all core day-to-day systems used by Lumley staff, including Guidewire, Reinsurance, Dynamics Nav and the Data Warehouse.More recently I have been responsible for leading the migration of a core component of the AMI insurance ecosystem from a Unisys ClearPath MCP mainframe to a simpler Windows/SQL Server environment. In parallel the application platform was upgraded from Unisys EAE 3 to Unisys AB Suite 5.0 in order to remain on a vendor-supported platform version.

Focusing primarily on delivery for Spark Digital initiatives, I was responsible for leading distributed design and development teams on several large customer facing solutions targeted at improving the online self-service experience for corporate and enterprise customers.

In July 2011 I transferred to Infosys from Gen-i Software Solutions as part of a partnership agreement between Gen-i and Infosys. My position with Infosys is a continuation on my previous role within Gen-i, with focus shifting toward specializing in technical architecture and team leadership.My current responsibilities include providing the senior technical guidance across projects in Telecommunication and Financial industries, as well as assisting with the technology transition from Gen-i to Infosys.
