CurrentLeading a mixed in-house and out-sourced team to deliver practical technical solutions to business need. The role requires interaction with many types of stakeholders as the scope is from business requirement definition through design, build, test and to deploy.Business leaders need their requirements understood and defined into statements that can be converted to technical designs, including non-functional requirements.Technical teams with different skillsets need to be co-ordinated to deliver a joined up solutionFunctional teams need to be aligned to the proposed and actual solutions to support the business in testing; and Project Managers need to be supported in defining their plans and costs and in keeping the project moving.In addition to delivering project work, I get involved in support activity as an escalation point.Finally, and perhaps most satisfying, is the ability to line manage and support staff in the career progression.
