I am responsible for leading the development and implementation of data standards and governance throughout the enterprise at Aflac. I have successfully implemented our Collibra Data Governance platform which is our centralized location for all policies and standards, business terms, metrics, reports, KPIs/SLAs, reference data, and business and technical data lineage. I have also successfully implemented a Data Stewardship program with Data Stewards, Data Owners, Data Analyst, and Technical Stewards throughout the company along with a Community of Practice where training and knowledge sharing takes place monthly. Following our newly developed Data Governance Model, my office works with each business area to identify stewards, business objectives, source systems, reference data, data quality issues, and data lineage; and governs all assets in Collibra.

I provide consultative recommendations and support to projects (primarily those projects managed by the PMO), helping to ensure that projects are managed through to completion and that the results are measurable, while executing PPM-developed project and governance related standards, providing assistance related to software tools, templates, and forms related to project management, and reporting information and metrics to leadership. I maintain effective communication and relationships with project sponsors, project managers, executive leadership, business analysts, IT management, SEMO partners, and other project team support members. This helps me with the analysis and reporting on the project portfolio to ensure that executive leadership is provided with timely, thorough, and accurate information to be used for decision-making, along with my recommendations to leadership when making either project approval or planning decisions.

As an Enterprise Change Consultant in the Strategy Office, I partner with the initiative team to ensure all stakeholders have been properly identified and their roles defined, identify changes in people and processes needed to drive success and reach initiative goals, and consult with initiative owners on their role in generating awareness and gaining commitment. The results from this interaction drives the development of an integrated change strategy for all impacted areas with defined actions/expectations from awareness through reinforcement phases. The change strategy is a channel to raise awareness regarding risk and change adoption as well as a recommended mitigation plan, implement the tactics needed to build commitment to the change and drive adoption, and provide impartial recommendations to support the Program Manager and/or Initiative Owner in addressing initiative gaps.
