I have worked with multiple health-related data sets - checking data quality, analysing, joining etc. I worked towards automating manual processes, taking inspiration from the Reproducible Analytical Pipelines (RAP) approach.

My PhD analyses and processes outputs from CMIP5 climate models to test robustness in models as well as project how climate change may affect climate extremes, air quality and human health.My research is quite interdisiplinary: I have presented a poster on atmospheric chemistry and climate change at the International Global Atmospheric Chemistry conference in 2016 and I'm currently writing a paper on heat-related human mortality.

I demonstrated environmental science laboratory sessions and maths skills classes. This requires the ability to communicate solutions to problems effectively. I marked first year undergraduate work while doing my PHD, which means I need to be able to work efficiently and be good at time management.

Facilitating discussions about food miles with small groups of primary school children.Talking to children about other green issues and helping them feel confident to share their experiences and opinions.Working as a team to ensure children are safe where applicable (e.g. when they are crossing the road to visit the eco-hub) and make sure each group has a team leader and/or teacher with them to discuss issues or make food (the children get to make pasta pesto as part of their day at the university!)
