Nicki Jones started her career in the corporate world but had a passion to work in the area of fitness and become a personal trainer. In 2009 when the opportunity arose she began that journey by founding NickiFit. Nicki is now a certified personal trainer, group exercise instructor and coach for Girls on the Run and fitness mentor for Jackson County Family Court. Affectionately called the “Pied Piper” of exercise, her ability to lead and motivate has helped many to achieve the benefits of exercise. Some of these benefits include toned muscles, limber joints, endurance and weight loss. Nicki has conducted several weight loss challenges and to date over 1,000 pounds collectively have been shed by participants.As a business woman, she is the creator of the NickiFit brand. Nicki is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Heart Association CPR AED certification. She is also certified as a leader for the Chronic Disease Self-Management and Diabetes Self-Management Program through Stanford University. Clients have included Front Porch Alliance, Wagner Boys & Girls Club, Harmon Diabetes Center, Kings Quarters Kings Manor Apartments, Samuel U Rodgers Health Center, Lucile Bluford Library, Mary Kelly Center and Shor-line Manufacturing Company. Nicki has been featured in the KC Star, KPRT 1590 on both the Highlights on Health and Carl Boyd's Last Mile of the Way afternoon radio shows and KMBZ 98.1 FM talk radio show, Trend KC with Burns and Monacelli. “What comes from the heart reaches the heart” is one of her favorite proverbs. Serving others through training, coaching and instructing in exercise is definitely from her heart. NickiFit is purposed to ensure that people move toward a path of healthy diet and fitness without ever looking back.
