I am excited to have recently been promoted from Business Development Manager to Operations Manager. My role means I am managing the day-to-day operations of Newco Catering, heading up a team of three managers, 24 service engineers and 14 administration personnel. I am responsible for budgets and finance, managing key clients, and ensuring monthly sales targets are met. I’m pleased to be considered the directors’ right-hand woman!

As Business Development Manager for Newco Catering my main responsibilities were: * Key account management for our existing clients* Prospecting for new business; seeking opportunities for the company* Building relationships with new clients* Presenting new products and services to clients, and enhancing existing relationships* Forecasting sales targets and ensuring they were met by the sales team. During my time in this role I successfully achieved a distinction in my management diploma.

At Hobart I built up strong customer service experience, along with excellent communication skills. Working in a busy service department, I was responsible for a team of service technicians within a set geographical area. This time at Hobart enabled me to learn about the catering industry, understand individual customer needs, and build impeccable service skills to ensure a happy customer. After eight years I knew I wanted to build on this by moving into a face-to-face customer sales role, and an opportunity arose to join a newly formed regional service provider.
