I am currently taking on clients for consulting work.Extensive experience leading drug discovery and early-stage drug development programs within small and large pharmaceutical and biotech companies.As a proven leader in pharmacology and drug discovery, I developed a novel mechanistic model for treating Alzheimer's with allosteric antagonists of the sigma-2 receptor. This work has resulted in several peer-reviewed publications, patents and has put a drug in the clinic for treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.I have broad experience in the drug discovery process including target validation, assay development, screening and selection of drug candidates, ADMET, in vivo proof of concept, de-risking clinical candidates, IND filing and analysis of clinical trial data. I have a successful record of patent filing, publication in peer reviewed journals, and in obtaining NIH funding through R01, SBIR, and STTR mechanisms.
