A passion for art and ingenuity is what I strive for, always have. I've been pursuing creativity from a young age. High school began the pursuit of an artistic background professionally, Next I recieved a Bachelor's degree in Art from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA. This little private college might not have the most prestigious Art program, but I chose it due to its close proximity to home and I knew that I could thrive in a condensed environment. And thrive I did. In the time I have finished my degree, I had put on two Art shows, one solely by myself; designed and helped build a theatrical stage design for a student directorial project; acted in more than 1 college stage productions; gotten a minor in Theatre (because I had become enthralled in the world of theatre; and worked in and eventually headed the Student Activities Committee on campus, putting up 3-5 events per week. This meant having the skills to organize, lead, and run events using sound/lightning skills, of which I had to pass my teachings on to others. I found that my college experience had grown me in to fine leader, with passions and skills that defined who I was. I always set the bar to be different. Not long after graduating, I found a role as the Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager for the Cedar Rapids Titans, an indoor football team. This was the first real world application of my artistic and graphic design skills, which included designing print and web/social media graphics, running the twitter and pinterest accounts, and helping with game day productions.After 2 years with the Titans, I ended up working temporarily for J&P Cycles as a Graphic Designer on the Catalog team, putting out 10 or so publications ranging from 100-800 pages in length. Currently I am a Supervisor for a General Contractor for both residential and commercial projects. The opportunity has opened up my skills and allowed for me to bring in several areas of knowledge from my past to implement as I work through new challenges and work projects. I continue to look forward to my future path, wherever that leads me.
