    From January up to the end of June 2016, I headed up the Transparency International team focused on the May 2016 London Anti Corruption Summit. The role included organising our strategic Summit advocacy, coordination with civil society and business stakeholders, and overseeing the completion of a number of policy and multimedia TI-UK projects all designed to maximise the impact of the Summit as a meaningful moment for anti-corruption. The role included responsibility for: - An overall project grant budget of over £200,000 - Leading our external engagement and communication around the Summit - including managing relationships with policy, civil society, business, multilateral authorities, TI Chapters - to build momentum for the Summit and to sustain the impact after the Summit - Organising the preparatory policy forum for the Summit in Paris in association with the OECD - Project managing the Anti-corruption Leaders' Manifesto - Overseeing the publication of our public information material and online video content - Providing strategic direction to the "Tackling Corruption Together" major multi-stakeholder conference, tied to the Summit.

    l led the research programme at Transparency International UK from July 2013 to April 2015. In April 2015, I was promoted to Head of Advocacy and Research at Transparency International UK where I had the privilege of leading a 7 person combined research, advocacy and communications department.During that period, I streamlined the focus of the research team on 'corrupt capital' and open governance themes. My focus as head of the department was to direct the TI-UK research effort towards advocacy and media impact, rather than simple publication. I managed the following projects to completion, on budget and on time, all of which had significant media and policy impact: - Closing Down The Safe Havens: Ending impunity for corrupt individuals by seizing and recovering their assets in the UK - Corruption in UK Local Government - UK Open Governance Scorecard - Lifting the Lid on Lobbying report - Tackling Corruption through Open Data (TACOD) - Corruption on Your Doorstep - Money Laundering Risks in Property - Exporting Corruption Report (2014 and 2015) - Countering Small Bribes (guidance paper) - Empowering the UK to recover corrupt assets – Discussion Paper - Submission to No.10 Downing Street on Anti-Corruption Priorities – Policy submission - UK contribution to EU-wide Lifting the Lid on Lobbying paper Typically, I would speak at approximately 4 events a month to represent TI-UK and TI research, whether it be at the National Crime Agency or Oxford University. One of the biggest single moments for recognition of the TI-UK research function was, in 2014, when the UK Government’s Anti Corruption National Action Plan was published. 27, out of the 66 actions that the UK government committed to, directly related to our work. Later on even more recommendations were adopted.
