I love diving into the data that helps me understand the journey a prospects takes when searching for a product. I’m also passionate about helping people and approach my marketing duties with this intention in mind. My success in the workplace is fuelled by two factors: creating value / contributing to business success and helping / empowering my co-workers. For the first factor (creating value), I’m driven to quantify the value I create by continually measuring and analyzing results of my actions. This effort often leads to my most satisfying days – being able to know I’ve created value and more importantly when my efforts have not created value. Work history: For over 15 years I've been involved in online marketing and web development. In 2007 I became co-owner of Pixelmade, a Vancouver web design and internet marketing firm, where I helped over 40 great organizations with their web & online marketing needs. In early 2014 I took the position of Web Marketing Specialist at the College of the Rockies where I initiated several web projects including developing the online program calendar, a searchable transfer database and the redevelopment of the Continuing Education website. In addition I managed all online advertising campaigns (generate 6.5% of all program leads) and increased organic traffic by over 23%. In Feb 2017 I took a remote position as SEM Manager for Maximizer CRM where my focus was improving organic website traffic & developing online advertising campaigns. Between August 2018 to October 2020 I focused on growing the PDFTron brand via paid advertising channels, SEO and content creation. After leaving PDFTron I provided growth marketing consulting services to multiple clients for 6 months. In July of 2021 I joined PSPDFKit full-time to help scale the company and marketing team. Outside of the office I spend the majority of my time with my wife and two sons enjoying the outdoors by skiing, hiking and biking in Cranbrook. I have also made mindfulness a big part of my life and believe in the practice of meditating to improve focus and mental health. Over an 8 month period I helped reduced ad spend on irrelevant keywords by over 50%, organic traffic increased by over 60% & search visibility increased by over 300% for tracked keywords in Moz seo tool.- Analyzed over 4000 keywords to identify relevant keywords to target through SEO & Pay-per-click campaigns. Presenting results to stakeholders, we defined what keywords to focus on for search engine marketing.- Identified that 60% of pay-per-click budget was spent on non-relevant keywords by analyzing past per-per-click campaigns.
