I've led digital change in higher education for over 20 years and am passionate about the opportunities to improve universities. I have led institution-wide programmes introducing cultural change with digital tools, including both Google GSuite and Microsoft Office 365. I believe that people are more important than technology, and that effective communications and engagement brings people with you and leads to success.As a consultant I provide practical, impartial advice - a critical friend who can understand your challenges and keep your initiatives on a path to success. As a project leader I set a clear vision and direction, and use emotional intelligence to bring stakeholders on board and make things happen. As a member of the HE community I achieve results through collaboration, inspiring peers, and building strong networks with suppliers, competitors and other organisations.I started my career by creating and running Bristol ResNet, the first student broadband network in the UK. I remain passionately focused on the customer experience, designing products and services people will use, purchase and recommend. I combine my IT career with small business side projects, bringing an abandoned smallholding back to life and creating and marketing my own cider.
