I am currently a Project Engineer for Halyard, Inc. Halyard is a construction management company that designs, permits and oversees construction projects in multifamily apartment buildings. As a Project Engineer, I manage seven contractors and between 30-50 projects at a time. The projects I manage include apartment renovations, landscaping, exterior and interior painting and ADU builds.For many of these projects I manage the full construction cycle, including checking buildability and layouts with the designers, bidding, managing RFIs and change orders, weekly site walks and punch walks. I am the liaison between the building owner and the contractors, and between the property management company and the building residents. My job is to represent the best interests of the owner and make sure I deliver a high quality product on time and on budget.Over the last few years I have learned the steps and procedures of the construction cycle and developed strong relationships with our contractors. All these skills and experiences have led to my current success and desire to further my career in construction management.
