About Nicklas Järvelä Johansen

MD PhD working in the pharmaceutical industry in Medical and science. Currently, I am responsible for the clinical development program of a GLP1/2 agonist for weight management therapy.Previously, clinical researcher working in the cardiometabolic area and with projects spanning from mechanistic studies to phase 3 clinical trials as both principal and co-investigator. PhD thesis based on the MAG1C trial (phase 2a, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial that tested add-on treatment with a short-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist to insulin treatment in type 1 diabetes over 26 weeks; N = 108; PMID 32135138). Prior clinical experience includes internal medicine, general and orthopedic surgery, acute care and general medicine.
