Responsibilities:• Work at the intersection of design, technology, and learning science; create solutions to push the frontier of effective online education.• Collaborate with software engineers, learning scientists, course developers, domain experts, visual designers, and usability specialists to specify user interface requirements.• Implement visual design comps into efficient, pixel perfect, cross-browser and standards compliant HTML5, CSS3 and Object Oriented Javascript.• Work closely with UI designers and the software engineering team to ensure that my solutions are feasible and their implementations are accurate.• Implement designs directly into the web tier using XSL, JSP/JSF, GWT UiBinder, and other front-end technologies.• Migrate existing websites and tools to conform to a consistent style guide and set of technologies.• Document solutions and design decisions. Responsible for Front End development which included programming within the scope of ActionScript 2/3, JavaScript/Jquery, CSS/HTML, ASP, .NET, PHP, and social media. Worked with such clients as Ford, PNC, UPMC, Highmark, Carnegie Science Center, Steaz, Eat’n Park, PGHAdFed, Green Building Alliance, and Sahale Snacks.

Created and maintained a Car Enthusiast forum and community in Pittsburgh, PA. At the peak the site received over 1000 unique daily visitors. PITTspeed was mostly noted for their participation in the reality show called Pinks on the Speed Channel. Collaboratively with local shops we built a LS1 powered Nissan 240sx. The car was raced on national TV and claimed victorious winning our competitors Mustang. PITTspeed was recently sold to an international vendor and still lives on today as an active car enthusiast community.
