Insurance Australia Group Ltd (IAG) is the largest general insurance company in Australia and New Zealand. The Group's businesses underwrite $12.6bn of premium per annum, selling insurance under many leading brands (e.g. NRMA Insurance, CGU, SGIO, SGIC, NZI, State and AMI). Since joining IAG in July 2010, I have been fortunate enough to have had a broad range of exciting roles including, but not limited to:- Executive Manager, Platforms & Proposition Development: designing and developing new distribution partnerships through which our products can be white-labelled into our partners' brand and sold to their customers.- Executive Manager Strategy Corporate Development: strategy development and governance for game changing growth and/or capability uplift- General Manager Corporate Partnering, Office of the CEO: driving growth through strategic partnerships beyond core insurance - Executive Manager Corporate Development / M&A- Personal Insurance Product & Underwriting: Portfolio Performance, Planning & Co-ordination. Responsible for driving portfolio performance through insights, planning, budgeting, underwriting, pricing, governance and operational risk management.- M&A / strategic projects: driving growth and capability uplift through M&A and strategic projects. This included IAG's acquisition of Wesfarmers Insurance for $1.845bn- Strategy: strategy development and governance- Reinsurance and Capital: I was responsible for providing the Direct Insurance CFO and CEO with recommendations on the reinsurance and capital programme during a period of unprecedented peril activity (e.g. NZ earthquake and QLD floods) and reinsurance capital flight.
