Aspiring Public Health student at Rutgers University. I am currently working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Public Health at Rutgers University-New Brunswick in the School of Environmental and Biological Studies. I intend on graduating in 2021 and am currently looking for internships in the field, specifically in relation to improving and providing care for communities. My intended purpose in college was not always public health-related, but I have found a new passion when attending Rutgers University. Previously, I studied biotechnology and was working towards my degree. However, the major did not align with my core values of helping and supporting the community. After learning about Public health as a major and the broad discipline it has, I conclude that public health can be more impactful to make a change in the community. As stated previously, public health is a broad field that has many career paths and I would like to focus my studies on environmental health and the ways to improve the environment, whether it be in the lab or developing reforms and policies.
