This led to my usage of Cascade Classifiers, a machine-learning model included within OpenCV.Project 2: Recruiting Robot. The recruiting robot was a 3D printed robot designed with servos motors that allowed movement of its head. The robot was equipped with a pre-trained Tensorflow model for facial recognition. By calculating the area of the screen occupied by an individual's face, it could be determined if an individual was within talking range, which would trigger the recruiting robot to start a conversation. In this project I worked largely on solving issues with the facial recognition and creating proper control flow so that transitions between different conversations would be seamless.Further details regarding projects are classified. I helped perform beach seines, plankton tows, manage sites, and collect vital ecological data. Additionally, I was tasked with statistically analyzing data regarding millions of acoustic recordings collected by placing bat recorders around the San Juan Islands. To do this, I utilized advanced statistical analysis methods such as Principal Components Analysis (PCA). This task was completed through use of the R programming language. Show less
