I am an experienced and award winning commercial and procurement lawyer particularly in the health, transport and education sectors. I am General Counsel and Company Secretary at Genomics England, the DH company set up to deliver the 100,000 Genomes Project and now working with NHS England to deliver the NHS Genomic Medicine Service. Before this I was a partner in 3 top 100 law firms (Pinsent Masons, DLA Piper and Bircham Dyson Bell). I am responsible for the full range of contracting we are currently undertaking and also the governance of the company. During my time at Genomics England I have been recognised in the Lawyer Magazine's Hot 100 (2015), been shortlisted for the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2015 and the Lawyer Awards 2016 – In-house Health and Life Sciences Team of the Year and won the Legal 500 In-house Team of the Year for Healthcare 2017 with my colleague Clare McConnell.
