About Nick Masada

Nick is the Deputy Director of Future Forward, an early literacy intervention nonprofit.He is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education where he studied change management. During his program, he worked directly with leaders at national, state, and local levels, including those from the Massachusetts Department of Education, the city of Salem, Massachusetts, and on the ground with Syrian refugees living in Jordan. Nick’s professional life has also included teaching in Washington, D.C., helping draft a book on the history of Turkish governance (called a “brave and balanced narrative" by the Washington Post), and collaboration with congressional offices to advance anti-poverty legislation. Nick has also been deeply influenced by athletics. A multi-sport varsity collegiate athlete and coach for several years, he has long understood and harnessed the powerful role that sport plays in society.
