I have been a Direct Support Professional for people with disabilities for the past 5 years. During this time I have gained valuable skills that have helped me become a better person and employee. Working as an independent contractor and being my own boss has allowed me to flourish and forced me to embrace the autonomy that comes with it. I also currently work third-shift at UPS and go to school part-time. I just graduated from a Code Louisville class in Front End Web Development in the spring of 2017. I hope to continue studying computer programming and transition my career into something in the IT field while continuing to work with individuals with disabilities in my free time.
