    F.G. Haggerty Fabrication was created as a subset of the mechanical contractor, F.G. Haggerty Company. The goal for the fabrication side of the company was to focus on the Oil & Gas and Chemical Processing industries and provide them with a pre-fabricated piping option in order to reduce the amount of man-hours spent fabricating pipe spools on-site, thereby reducing project cost.Initially, as General Manger, it was my job to create a brand image and identity that conveyed quality workmanship at a fair price, while also eliminating fabrication errors that cause contractors and end-users headaches and project delays. We had to create a new identity for this branch of the parent company that demonstrated our competencies and value in the O&G market, while still maintaining the same principles and dedication to high-quality that got F.G. Haggerty Company to the level they're at today. We developed a new marketing campaign, including:-A new logo -A dedicated website solely for the fabrication business-New promotional materials (business cards, brochures, swag, etc.)-A social media presence for the first time in company historyOnce the brand was created, we hired qualified operations managers to oversee the shop efforts while I was working in Houston or traveling. We worked together as a team to obtain all of the necessary certifications and qualify our personnel per the standard Oil & Gas requirements, under ASME and API specifications.I was responsible for the day-to-day sales tasks, including: lead generation, cold calls, sales visits, project estimates, contract negotiation, and sales follow-up duties. I also regularly made sales trips across the Southeast region of the U.S. completing sales presentations, meeting with prospective clients and entertaining current customers.Along with my sales functions, I was also responsible for providing P&L reports, pricing structures, business development timelines and goals, and managing the progress of the shop.

    GS-Hydro is the world's leading manufacturer of non-welded, high-pressure piping systems. In the U.S., GS-Hydro specializes in providing turnkey piping solutions for the oil & gas, marine, and land industries (steel mills, pulp and paper, mining, etc.). They are also a reliable resource to many companies for hard-to-find Metric and DIN fittings, as well as other standard tube fittings.Personally, I handled the project-based aspect of our GS-Hydro's business. It was my responsibility to find new customers that may not be familiar with the advantages a non-welded piping system offers, as well as cultivate positive relationships with existing customers to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded. I would also stay involved throughout the entire project process, from estimating the scope and cost, to project management and quality control, in order to ensure that the customer always got exactly what they needed.After demonstrating my marketing competencies, I was given the role of marketing director for North America. This required coordination with the corporate marketing office in Finland to ensure that we were remaining consistent with our content and message in the U.S., while also allowing us to develop more focused marketing materials that highlighted our specific capabilities unique to our office. We created a unique website that drove U.S. customers directly to our local office and highlighted the services and benefits that only the U.S. office could offer. We also developed sales and marketing materials that elaborated on these extra services and benefits for use during sales presentations.
