Execute & review Payroll process (covering US staff & 28 Country Offices in LATAM) in adherence to IDB policies and regulations. Act as a liaison with Country Offices Managers in matters of staff (hires, termination, bonus, etc), banking and local social security regulation.Execute and control Annual Merit Pay Exercise based on performance appraisal. Handle special and confidential high-level cases.Review and approve semi-monthly Payroll Audit Reports. Assist Resources Planning Specialists in matters of Payroll and supporting Staff Retirement Department on matters related to retirees.Support the implementation of HR programs. Identify and reduce non value-added tasks. Deploy new processes without business interruption. Design KPI process performance. Ensure risks are known and mitigation actions are taken.Assist in the development of policies and procedures. Bring valuable insights to managers.Serving on project teams executing sets of tasks for diverse projects, follow-up the achievement of key milestones to ensure on-track and completion projects.

Prepare monthly & annual Financial Reports, Internal Audit Package, Expense forecast and other requests from Headquarter. Analysis of significant and unusual balance (P&L, Balance Sheet).Coordinate Fast close with team members (Accounts Payable, Receivables, Intercompany, Payroll, Fix Assets) to ensure timely, accurate and complete reporting.Review and approve tax filing. Monitor local legislation updates. Prevent legal & tax-related risks. Collaborating within team and across units to foster trust, commitment, accountability and results.Liaise with external auditors, tax outsourcing firm, legal, fiscal and financial institutions.Identify continuous business process improvement opportunities for the company.

Perform testing programs provided by Headquarter to assess internal controls. Help enhance performance KPI for Latin America & North America Offices under the SSC scope.Assist local management identifying Key Control Points in the accounting process to avoid potential non-compliance. Devise corrective action plan and assign responsible staff and deadline for the defects found on the testing. Coaching, mentoring staff / team involved to improve results.Conduct monthly trainings to GL/AP/AR staff, sharing testing results and learning. Prepare Power Point presentation for large audience with comparative analysis, trends, frequent mistakes and findings. Brainstorming and lateral thinking approach to resolve issues.Report staff assessment to Managers & HR Department for annual performance appraisal.Take part in internal control buildup policies (attended global meeting in Shenzhen, 2013)
