Responsible for managing the coral gene bank aquaculture facility at Mote Aquaculture Research Park.

• Monitor health of aquarium organisms in-house, including corals, invertebrates and fish, and help diagnose sick/deceased fish to aid in prophylactic system treatments/medications.
• Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of aquarium equipment in the facility.
• Perform weekly/monthly maintenance on personal aquarium systems for our clients.
• Educate local school groups, grades 5 – 12, on topics related to marine biology and aquaponics, including marine invertebrates, vertebrates, plant biology, and coral biology.

As a supervisor responsible for critiquing lifeguards’ water rescue and CPR skills. Also responsible for setting up for in-service training events, and managing a team of 15 guards in such events.
