Nick set up and runs the Strategic Design team within the Global Payments division, looking at the future state of payment operations at Lloyds Banking Group. The team covers all domestic payment types (Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS and Cheques) as well as international schemes (TARGET2 and Sepa) and correspondent banking specialising in how to simplify the technology estate while providing back end systems that can deliver customer focused products.Nick is also responsible for considering the payment impacts of emerging technologies and regulations such as Payments Services Directive 2, Open Banking, blockchain, APIs and tokenisation working with the customer facing divisions to ensure Lloyds Banking Group is in the best place to maximise the potential opportunities to the benefit of our customers and clients.

Key Accountabilities Providing direct support to the Global Payments Director on a range of key activities. Act as a point of contact for his office and support him in focussing time on high value-add activities.  Aide and support strategic planning for area and team with completion of appropriate storyboards. Undertake key work activities in support of business objectives.  Trusted advisor highlighting upcoming hotspots / issues for discussion and resolution. Assist the Global Payments Director to prepare for meetings by co-ordinating and researching agenda items and ensuring that all relevant packs are prepared, circulated and actions progressed.  Identify and exploit opportunities to share best practice and build expertise across our business. Lead the delivery of projects and initiatives as required supporting Global Payments Directors achievement of deliverables. Support Global Payments Director in key risk and compliance aspects. Ensure a well established performance management approach is in place.
